Mobile Emergency Communications Resources

NNACT NNACT was granted access to a City facility on Main Street, Newport News. At this location, we host the Peninsula Amateur Radio Club’s (PARC’s) VHF and UHF repeaters and two GMRS radio repeaters for NNACT. The PARC (W4MT) repeaters transmit at 145.230 MHz and 442.900 MHz, both with 100.0 Hz tones, respectively, and the GMRS repeater operates at 462.55 MHz with a 123.0 Hz tone. At our Big Bethel location, we have another GMRS repeater on 462.65 MHz with a 114.8 Hz tone.

NNACT also hosts a UHF repeater (WN4ACT) transmitting at 927.525 MHz with a 100.0 Hz tone.

NNACT maintains three portable go kits for field deployment to shelters, medical facilities, and evacuation sites to provide mobile voice and digital communications during emergencies and for public service events. For more demanding situations, operators and equipment are available across the state through mutual aid agreements.
